The 8th annual event of the World Adventure Tourism Organization, ATTA (www.adventuretravel.biz) took place in Chiapas, Mexico. More than 55 countries were present at the event and more than 650 delegates attended the Adventure Travel World Summit.

For the second consecutive year Bulgaria participated in an ATTA Event. The country was represented by Lubomir Popiordanov, СEO Odysseia-in (www.odysseia-in.com), member of the ATTA.
In the recent years adventure tourism makes a great contribution to global tourism turnover and is estimated at around 89 billion dollars. Furthermore, the importance of the adventure tourism is marked by the role it plays in the sustainable development of local economies and the preservation of the world’s natural and cultural heritage.
