Trip summary
The “Thracian Wine” tour in Bulgaria will bring you to a charming old-world Europe, where Eastern and Western cultures merge into one. Following this mixture of traditions we will get to the heart of the Thracian Civilization, famous for its golden treasures and megalithic stone temples. We will leap across the centuries, starting from the Thracian Tombs around Kazanluk; next: the Roman ruins in Plovdiv; later: the Byzantine Churches and Monasteries in Rhodopi Mountains and the Ottoman architecture in Koprivhstitsa. All these visits will be garnished with wine tasting of indigenous grape sorts and delicious Balkan cuisine.
