Pirin National Park
Pirin Mountain is situated in Southwestern Bulgaria, between the valleys of Struma and Mesta, and is one of the oldest mountains in Europe. The last powerful rise happened in the last ice Age. The remaining ice and glaciers stayed in the deep cirques and created impassable moraines and the crystal blue eyes of Pirin – the glacial lakes. Read more…
